A very rare and interesting American percussion truncheon pistol 15 3/4 inches overall, 7 3/4 inch steel blunderbuss barrel engraved 'JB Revol Orleans L A', top bar hammer action, ring trigger, handle brass wire and leather bound with a top and bottom brass band punched with stars surmounted with a large heavy brass eagles head circa 1840 This curious weapon appears to be an American attempt copy the English Days patent truncheon pistol. Good overall condition.
