An officer’s 1912 double presentation cavalry sword by Wilkinson. 35” straight fullered blade, etched with foliate bands and crowned “GRV” and presentation inscriptions “Lt F.P. Barrett Q.O.Y.D. from his uncle Sir Walter Peace K.C.M.G” to one side and “Major W.A.C. Johnson D.W.R from his uncle Major F.P. Barrett Q.O.Y.D.” to the other. Signed Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London and numbered 48371. With its plated, well engraved bowl guard, black fish skin grip with gilt wire in its original pig skin field service scabbard. Also comes with original pig skin bag.

Circa 1914.

In very good condition, sharpened for field service, slight edge nicks from use.
