Fine 54-Bore Tranter Patent Third Model Self-Cocking Five-Shot Percussion Revolver With 6” blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle and with scrolling foliage on each side of the breech, border engraved top-strap with 'B.Cogswell 224 Strand London , case-hardened cylinder with knurled forward edge, blued border engraved frame No 10086 T and trigger-guard each decorated with scrolling foliage, bright patent double-trigger, hammer, and scroll engraved patent rammer, chequered rounded butt with scroll engraved case-hardened butt-cap, and virtually all its original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with full accessories including brass bullet mould No 10086 to the gun , James Dixon & Sons flask, with split-ring for suspension, oil bottle, Joyce cap tin, tin of bullets ,tin of lubricating grease .turn screw, nipple key, brass loading rod and ivory box with spare nipples. The interior of the lid with B. Cogswell trade label, the exterior with brass escutcheon engraved 'Capt.A Mellor Royal Horse Art.',
