 A cased Percussion Officers Howdah Pistol by Westley Richards, 11" overall. 4 ½” musket bore side by side barrels engraved on the rib ''Westley Richards 170 New Bond St. London” ,Birmingham Proofs numbered 102 and Irish census mark F2249 . Plain tang ,and side locks engraved 'Westley Richards ', bolted locks with dolphin hammers, steel trigger guard , swivel ramrod and belt hook Walnut full stock with horn forend , fine chequering & escutcheon plate. In original case with Westley Richards trade label & accessories; large Bartram & Co bi colour brass & bronze flask, loading rod, scissor bullet mould . nipple key, bag of bullet and patches .Mahogany case .

Circa 1845.

Pistols in very good condition, barrels rebrowed.

Note: Westley Richards traded from 170 New Bond Street from 1815 to 1917 (although the shop was re-numbered 178 New Bond Street in 1878), with William Bishop, known colloquially as “The Bishop of Bond Street”, as its agent from 1815 to 1871
