An Adams 54 bore self cocking cased revolver

A cased Adams 54 bore self-cocking five shot percussion revolver, with 6 ¼” octagonal barrel, engraved on the top flat ‘Jos Brazier & Son Wolverhampton’. Border line engraved frame marked ‘Adams patents number 30069B’, 5 shot cylinder No.7554. One piece chequered walnut grips, with butt trap. No rammer. In its fitted oak case with screwed lid, lined in green baize with Dixon flask, nipple key and turn screw, patent 54 bore bullet mould, oil bottle and loading rod, cap bag with Eley and Adams labels. Deane, Adams and Deane yellow label in case lid.

Rare revolver, 60% plus original finish mechanically sound. Cylinder mis-numbered but looks to have been with the gun since new, same toned finish. Jos Brazier was a maker under license to Robert Adam with his own number range 30000B. Guns with his address on are rare.
