A 16 bore park rifle by Samuel and Charles Smith, 48” overall, 32” octagonal Damascus barrel with adjustable foresight and rearsight with two groove rifling, underside with London gunmakers’ proofmarks and the number ‘5369’. Breech plug also numbered with platinum lined tablet stamped ‘Smith London’. Figured walnut half stock with horn forend, with plain iron buttplate and trigger guard, ebony ramrod, a scroll engraved tang, percussion side lock with scale engraved dolphin head hammer, lock engraved ‘SAM and C. SMITH, PRINCES STREET LONDON’.

Bore in very good condition, standing rearisght missing a folding leaf, lock darkly pattinated but overall a very nice gun.
