A Flintlock Surrey Militia Carbine, 26" musket bore barrel with Ordnance proofs. Regulation border engraved lock with crowned GR & Tower at the tail, swan necked cock. Walnut full stock stamped 'SM14' forward of the trigger guard & with a diamond shaped brass plate stamped 'SM20' on the left side of the butt. Regulation brass furniture with 1 ramrod pipe, sling swivels & steel ramrod. Officially cut down from an India pattern Bess for Militia.
