A fine small flintlock brass barreled blunderbuss by Stelle 23" overall, 9 3/4" two-stage barrel swelling towards the muzzle, first stage with acanthus engraving to the top of the breech and "London", London proof marks and barrel smith's stamp TP, rounded border engraved lock plates engraved "Stelle", rounded border engraved Swan neck cock and patent frizzen, walnut full stock, with lightly engraved brass furniture and brass tipped ramrod. Circa 1770. Good condition, minor stock repairs behind the lockplate, Ex W.K. Neal and Marquis of Bath collections retains W.K. Neil collection Tag G3, sold at Christie's November 1995 lot number 120
